Summiteers in dream landscapes
Following in the footsteps of a king, roaming through a majestic landscape and discovering dreamy villages between the hills and lakes: Hiking around the Aktiv Hotel Schweiger means experiencing a castle park that has several castles and lakes to offer.
Varied
Hiking in the castle park doesn´t have to be strenuous. Beyond the park´s stone guardians, the mountains, there is much to discover. And yet even experienced alpinists get their money´s worth. After all, King Ludwig himself and his parents were known for their demanding tours. Anyone who follows their trail sometimes needs sure-footedness and a head for heights when heading up the Säuling. The views over the castle park from the peaks of its guardians are worth every day.
Cable railways
If you prefer to reach the summit in comfort, you can use the region´s four mountain railways. These take you to the Tegelberg near Schwangau, the Buchenberg near Halblech, the Breitenberg near Pfronten or the Alpsitze near Nesselwang. Magnificent views and mountain experiences await you!
Nordic Walking
Nowhere else can a full-body workout be combined so well with enjoyment: around the Aktiv Hotel Schweiger, three altitudes, each with a fantastic view, offer the absolute nordic walking experience.
In the Füssen area alone there are already 13 nordic walking tours with a total length of around one hundred kilometers. All clearly signposted, of course. From beginners to experts, everyone is guaranteed to find their dream tour here.
Flat and with a view of the mountains, you can walk relaxed around one of the many lakes, for example the Mittersee and Obersee in Bad Faulenbach around our hotel, the Hopfensee or the Weißensee. The tours up to the alpine pastures are more demanding. For example, it would start right in front of the hotel´s front door, continue to the Alatsee and then up to the Saloberalm. If you haven´t had enough of this training, grab your walking sticks and head into the mountains.
