Hiking Paradise Right at Your Doorstep

From leisurely walks at Lechfall to challenging summit tours in the Ammergau Alps – the hiking network around Füssen leaves nothing to be desired. Start directly from the hotel into nature and experience the diversity of the Allgäu.

Over 200 marked hiking trails lead through alpine flower meadows, along mountain lakes and through dense forests. Lechfall is reachable in just a 5-minute walk, the Tegelberg cable car takes you comfortably to 1,720 metres altitude.

For families we recommend the Three Lakes hike past Alatsee, Weißensee and Hopfensee – with numerous swimming spots and rest stops along the way.

Lechfall Loop

Short loop (3 km, approx. 45 min) to the spectacular Lech waterfall and the King Max footbridge. Start directly from the hotel – perfect for an afternoon.

Tegelberg Summit Tour

Panoramic hike (12 km, 900m elevation) with views of Neuschwanstein, Lake Forggensee and the Alps. Hike up, comfortable descent by cable car.

Three Lakes Hike

Leisurely hike (15 km, approx. 4 hrs) past Alatsee, Weißensee and Hopfensee. Rest stops and swimming spots along the way. Family-friendly.

Royal Castles Trail

Walk between Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau (8 km, approx. 2.5 hrs). Through forests with views of Marienbrücke and Lake Alpsee.

Break at Reith-Alpe

A short walk by Lake Forggensee, then up to the hut. Reward yourself with front-row views of Neuschwanstein. Enjoy traditional snacks and cold drinks at this down-to-earth spot, perfectly situated across from the castles.

Saloberalm

Our nearest mountain hut. A 50-minute stroll through the Faulenbacher valley to Lake Alatsee, followed by a short, steep climb. At 1,150 m, right on the Austrian border, you’ll find peaceful nature and authentic Alpine charm.
