Fasting in the Allgäu

A week of Buchinger fasting for body, mind and soul

Fasting in the Allgäu

What is Buchinger Fasting?

Fasting according to Dr. Otto Buchinger is the most well-known form of therapeutic fasting in Europe. During the fasting period, you consume only vegetable broths, freshly pressed juices, teas and water. The body switches to autophagy – a natural cell cleansing process. Many fasters report increased clarity, better sleep and a new body awareness. At Aktiv Hotel Schweiger, we accompany you throughout the week with a professional program.

Our fasting weeks take place several times a year, led by experienced fasting instructors. The program includes daily hikes in nature around Bad Faulenbach, morning yoga, liver wraps, nutritional counseling and free access to sauna, steam bath and Aktivarium. The hotel's quiet location in the Faulenbacher Valley provides the perfect environment for inner reflection. 2026 dates: March, May, September, November.
